Mesoamerica
is a term used by archaeologists to name an area comprising the
southern half of Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, and parts of eastern
Central America. This ia a complex geographical region encompassing
the central plateau of Mexico, a lush tropical coastal plain of
the Gulf, the flat limestone expanse of the Yucatan peninsula, and
the mountains and lowland forests of Guatemala and Belize.
